F2 Logistics turned back bitter rival Petron after a 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18 win to cop its first Philippine Super Liga Invitational Conference title on Saturday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
In their fourth straight finals showdown, the Cargo Movers evened the score against the Blaze Spikers, who won in the 2018 Grand Prix and 2017 All-Filipino conferences.
MVP Ara Galang finished with 15 points and 17 excellent receptions for F2 Logistics, which has two titles under its belt - 2017 All-Filipino and 2017 Grand Prix.
“Sinabi ko nga Petron kasi wala kang makikitang advantage kasi same skills tapos kumbaga magkakatalo na lang heart at saka court IQ dun na magkakatalo,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus.
“And then sa heart, kung sino gusto manalo. Kami ‘yung nanalo mas gusto naming manalo,” he added.
Aby Maraño also had 15 points for the Cargo Movers, while Majoy Baron and skipper Cha Cruz-Behag each had 10 markers.
Sisi Rondina, who balied out Petron in the second set with five consecutive attacks, had a game-high 20 points, registered 20 digs and 12 excellent receptions in the match that took two hours and 11 minutes to finish.
Bernadeth Pons and team captain Ces Molina combined for 24 markers for the Blaze Spikers.
