F2 Logistics overcame Generika-Ayala, 25-12, 25-27, 26-24, 25-14, in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan on Tuesday.
Venezuelan import MJ Perez had a game-high 25 points for the Cargo Movers, who improved to 10-3 to cement its hold of the No. 2 spot, behind league-leading Petron (14-0).
American spiker Lindsay Stalzer had 16 points for F2 Logistics, while Aby Maraño had 14, and Ara Galang chipped in 12.
“It was a good fight, Generika-Ayala showed that they won’t just back down,” said Stalzer. “We thought that we can take it easily after we won the first set but then again they [Life Savers] held on and pushed us to the limit.”
“Still, it was a good win for us, we have to learn our lessons from this game and hopefully on our next matches that we can apply those lessons,” she added.
Thai reinforcement Kanjana Kuthaisong had 22 points, while Fiola Ceballos also had 18 markers for Generika-Ayala, which slid to 4-9.
