F2 Logistics dominated Cignal, 25-22, 25-13, 25-12, to remain unscathed in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.

Cargo Movers import Maria Jose Perez from Venezuela and Kennedy Bryan of the United States led the way with 17 points apiece as F2 Logistics cemented its hold of the top spot with a 6-0 win-loss record.

“Ang dalawang import namin, medyo dominating kapag local ang buma-block sa magkabilang side so 'yun ang nakikita naming advantage,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus.

F2 setter Kim Fajardo was also impressive with nine points, from four attacks, two blocks and three service aces, in a match that took an hour and 21 minutes to finish.

De Jesus also capitalized on Cignal's poor execution as he saw how the HD Spikers' first ball cannot convert to an attack.

“Kahit maka-receive naman 'yung Cignal, medyo hindi ganoon kataas ang percentage na maiabot ang bola doon sa middle,” said the 10-time UAAP champion coach.

“May mga times na nakakareceive pero mababa ang set so nagiging advantage namin kasi not over ang bola,” he added.

Australian import Beth Carey and American reinforcement Alexis Mathews each had seven markers for the HD Spikers, who dropped to 2-4 for the six spot.

Cignal star Jovelyn Gonzaga didn't get to finish the match as she was stretchered off the court after an awkward landing in the second set.
