VETERAN team F2 Logistics schooled University of the Philippines-UAI, 25-13, 25-22, 25-16, to remain unscathed and secure at least a quarterfinals berth in the Philippine Super Liga Invitational Conference on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
Former La Salle stars Majoy Baron, Cha Cruz-Behag, and Kim Dy led the way for the Cargo Movers, who improved to 3-0 to take the solo lead in Pool A.
Baron finished with nine points, while Cruz-Behag and Dy added seven points apiece in the match that took 55 minutes to finish.
“Sabi ko naman lahat ng makakalaban natin, bago o beterano o rookie, kailangan nating bigyan ng magandang respeto,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus.
“Hindi pwedeng papasok ka sa loob ng court na sobrang confident ka. Although confident ka, kailangan yung respect hindi mawawala sa kalaban,” he added.
Although the Cargo Movers are on a roll, De Jesus does not want them to be complacent as they face Petron (2-1) on Saturday.
The winner of the match will determine which team will earn the No. 1 spot at the end of the preliminary round for the outright semis spot.
Marian Buitre made 10 points for UP-UAI, which ended the pool stage with a 0-4 win-loss record.
