DEFENGING champion F2 Logistics overcame Cignal, 23-25, 27-25, 25-16, 25-23, to move a win away from sweeping the second round of the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
American import Kennedy Bryan finished with 16 points for the Cargo Movers, who improved to 8-1 with a final game against Foton to round out its campaign in the second round.
Venezuelan reinforcement and reigning MVP Maria Jose Perez also had 14 for F2 Logistics while Ara Galang came off the bench to add 12 and Aby Maraño chipped in 11.
Although it was close between the two teams in terms of attacks (53-51), the Cargo Movers had a block party with 11 total rejections compared to the five of the HD Spikers.
Bosnian import Sonja Milanovic and American reinforcement Stiix Horton carried Cignal as they made 27 and 23 points, respectively.
The HD Spikers slipped to 3-6.
