DEFENDING champion F2 Logistics got back on its feet, defeating Smart, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17, in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.
Coming off a four-set loss to Petron, the Cargo Movers leaned on Venezuelan import Maria Jose Perez, who had 15 points and eight excellent receptios.
F2 Logistics improved to 2-1.
“Ngayon panalo kami pero ‘di pa kami satisfied sa performance,” said F2 Logistics coach Arnold Laniog. “Kasi although straight sets pero ‘yung ine-expect namin na performance ‘di pa lumabas sa game kanina.”
“Chemistry wise, although sila na ang magkakasama even before, ‘di pa ganun same as before,” he added.
Aby Maraño and Cha Cruz-Behag combined for 16 points for F2 Logistics in the one-hour and 24-minute match.
Cuban reinforcement Gyselle dela Caridad Silva scored 17 and Serbian import Sanja Trivunovic added 12 points for Smart, which remained winless in four matches.
