F2 Logistics remained in hunt for the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference title, turning back erstwhile undefeated Petron, 21-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-17, in Game Two of the best-of-three finals series on Tuesday at the MOA Arena.

The Cargo Movers, who absorbed a straight-set blow in Game One, 23-25, 11-25, 17-25, recovered to force a rubber match on Thursday.

Ara Galang, Majoy Baron and, Cha Cruz-Behag led the way for F2 Logistics, which spoiled Petron’s attempt to sweep the conference.

Galang had 20 points, while Baron added 14, Cruz-Behag chipped in 13 markers, 25 digs 15 excellent receptions, and Mich Morente contributed 10.

Libero Dawn Macandili registered 33 digs and 16 excellent receptions for the Cargo Movers, who had 12 blocks in the match that took two hours and 25 minutes to finish.

“After ng Game One sabi ko sa kanila noong training tapos na ‘yun, wala na ‘yun so kung gusto nating bumawi, bumawi tayo. Sinet ko and nag-work naman noong Game Two,” said F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus.

“Sabi ko nga, kung hindi ko kayo kilala maaaring maniwala ako na ganoon lang ang laro niyo, sabi ko sa mga bata. Sa practice naman nag-correct lang kami ng konti, mga blocking,” he added.

The Cargo Movers are looking to get a 3-2 advantage against the Blaze Spikers as they tangle for the fifth straight conference in the PSL.

The Blaze Spikers, whose 13-0 winning run ended, committed too many errors that allowed the Cargo Movers to gain momentum.

De Jesus encouraged his wards to bounce back not only for themselves but also for their supporters, who braved the holiday traffic just to watch the game live.

“Well syempre very emotional ‘yung mga bata, ako rin naman. So sabi ko sa kanila, ‘yung lahat ng nakikita niyong naka-yellow dito, ‘yun ang mga umaasa at sumusuporta sa inyo,” he said.

“Kaya ‘wag naman lumabas na kahiya-hiya ang laro ninyo. ‘Yan kako ‘yung mga taong naniniwala sa inyo,” he continued.
