TWO-time Philippine Super Liga champion Petron Blaze could suffer another power dip with another player potentially skipping the powerhouse team’s next campaign.
Less than a week after the announcement of Dindin Santiago-Manabat’s pregnancy, setter Erica Adachi revealed she is getting married in a few days and said she in uncertain of returning to action soon.
“Right now, that’s the thing I’m thinking about, so I’m not sure if I’m going to play for another team or another league, I’m still not sure yet,” Adachi told Spin.ph.
The Brazilian setter, one of the fan favorites in the PSL, revealed she will tie the knot with her partner on December 18 in the United States.
“Now I’m focused that I’m getting married in a couple of days,” the 27-year-old Adachi, who has been a key player for the Blaze Spikers for the past two Grands Prix, told Spin.ph.
“I’m in a relationship for two years and then my partner got promoted and then we’re moving to the US so we’re getting married on December 18 we decided to take this big step,” she added.
The announcement comes just days after Adachi said she is open to another stint in the PSL.
Aside from being a professional volleyball player, Adachi works as a graphic designer for a volleyball website in Brazil and she also helps Brazilian athletes earn scholarships in the US.
Before she left the country on Saturday, Adachi also visited Cebu and Palawan.
