ARA Galang was crowned as the Most Valuable Player of the Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference crown on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Galang won her first MVP award since she last held a top honor in UAAP.
Galang capped her resurgent conference unleashing 15 points to lead F2 Logistics’ sweet revenge over rival Petron with a 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18 Game 2 victory to capture the Invitational title.
Rachel Anne Daquis, who turned back time and proved that she still got it after leading Cignal’s Bronze medal finish, was hailed as the 1st Best Outside Spiker, while Petron’s hard-fighting star Sisi Rondina was named as the 2nd Best Outside Spiker.
Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, also representing the Blaze Spikers, won the Best Opposite Spiker.
Teammates-turned-rivals Mika Reyes and Majoy Baron were named as the 1st and 2nd Best Middle Blockers, respectively.
F2 Logistics’ playmaker Kim Fajardo bagged the Best Setter award, while her teammate and defensive specialist Dawn Macandili brought home the Best Libero award.
Generika-Ayala’s Patty Orendain was given a special award as the Best Scorer.
