CHA Cruz-Behag said that F2 Logistics really had a hard time against resilient Generika-Ayala before earning a ticket to the Finals against old rival Petron in a best-of-three series perennial the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference supremacy.

Behag and the Cargo Movers needed to get their acts together before eliminating the hard-fighting Lifesavers in five sets, 21-25, 25-15, 25-20, 19-25, 15-5, and booked their fifth consecutive Finals appearance in the PSL — third straight in the All-Filipino and sixth overall — on Tuesday at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.

The former De La Salle star, who powered her team with the help of Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Michelle Morente and Kim Fajardo, admitted that the perseverance and tremendous floor defense of Generika-Ayala made it hard for them.

“Generika, very defensive talaga. Matiyaga talaga lahat sila,” said Behag, who unleashed 17 points off 13 kills, a pair of service aces and as many as blocks. “Humihinto siguro kami kaya humahaba 'yung game. Sabi nga ni coach (Ramil de Jesus), kailangan lagi kaming focused para hindi na maulit 'yun.”

Despite flirting with disaster, the veteran open hitter was happy on how the team flaunted its composure and experience even they played their first five-setter in the conference, where they routed the Lifesavers.

“Generika is such a strong team. Na-test talaga 'yung capabilities ng team. It was a good challenge for us kasi first five-setter namin 'yun this season,” she said. “Good for us na nalaman namin na kaya namin lagpasan 'yung ganoon situation.”

The 29-year-old has been turning back the clock and still playing at the best level like fine wine.

“Kailangan laging may extra effort. Lahat naman ng players napu-push. I'm just really happy na nakakatulong ako sa team,” said Behag, who had fruitful experience with the women’s national team in the Asian Games and AVC Cup.

As Behag and the Cargo Movers battle the Petron Blaze Spikers for the fifth consecutive championship series that opens on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, she promises that her team will give their all going up against the defending champions.

“Parang deja vu na magkalaban kami. We all have our goals naman so lalaban talaga kami,” she said.
