BEA Tan and Pau Soriano of Foton Hurricane edged Danika Gendrauli and Norie Jane Diaz of Gilligan's, 18-21, 21-18, 15-12, on Saturday to reach the quarterfinals of the PLDT Home Ultera Philippine Super Liga Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup 2015 at Sands By the Bay.
Gretchen Ho and Charo Soriano of Petron XCS stayed in contention for the quarterfinals, along with Fille Cainglet-Cayetano and Alexa Micek of Petron after scoring straight-set wins.
"Sa beach volleyball talaga game is perfection, kung sino ang may mas maraming errors 'yun ang matatalo. Good thing we were lucky they had more errors," said Tan.
"I make sure that I get the best receive," added Tan, who played as a libero for Ateneo.
Ho and Soriano drubbed the pair of Aurora Tripoli and Rochet de la Paz of Accel Quantum Plus, 21-7, 21-9, while Cayetano and Micek beat Cha Cruz and Micmic Laborte, 22-20, 21-15.
