F2 Logistics is the first to test the Foton’s triple-tower when the Philippine Superliga Invitational Conference comes off the wraps on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Foton signed Ateneo star Bea de Leon to boost the squad that already has sisters Jaja Santiago and Dindin Manabat.
The Tornadoes also acquired University of the East star Shaya Adorador to provide support in the scoring department. Foton also still has featuring national pool members Maika Ortiz, CJ Rosario and Gen Casugod.
F2 Logistics, meanwhile, welcomes back La Salle stars Kianna Dy, Dawn Macandili and Desiree Cheng, boosting the solid core of Kim Fajardo, Aby Marano and Majoy Baron.
Foton, winner of the PSL Grand Prix in 2015 and 2016, is eyeing its first Invitational Conference title.
“As the league becomes competitive, we’ll see how our ‘Triple Tower’ of Bea, Dindin and Jaja can blend together to give us our first ever Invitationals championship,” said Foton team owner Rommel Sytin.
“They’ve all played together and chemistry will not be a problem. Although this is their first time to play together after college, their partnership will surely bring a lot of excitement to PSL fans,” he added.
Petron has an intact core led by Mika Reyes, Rhea Dimaculangan, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas and Frances Molina.
