ATENEO star Bea de Leon has joined the Foton team that will see action in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) Invitational Conference starting on June 23.
Foton team owner Rommel Sytin on Saturday presented the 21-year old Lady Eagles middle blocker as the 'third tower' of the Tornadoes after sisters Dindin and Jaja Santiago.
“We have the twin towers and now we’re introducing her. She will be the third tower in our team,” said Sytin during a press conference on Saturday.
De Leon, who won one UAAP title in 2015, will bolster an already tall Foton lineup backstopped by the Santiago sisters as well as Maika Ortiz and CJ Rosario.
“A big factor in my decision is the current team lineup,” de Leon said. “I see a very big potential with Foton, especially playing next to Santiago sisters.”

The former national team member, who competed in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore, said the PSL move doesn't mean she'll be skipping her fifth and final year with Ateneo.
Last week, de Leon’s teammate Jhoana Maraguinot also joined the PSL after signing with Sta. Lucia.
