BACOLOD City — F2 Logistics star Ara Galang will sit out in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix due to a recurring knee injury.
The prolific spiker out of La Salle made the announcement on Friday during the PSL meet-and-greet affair at SM Bacolod, saying she needed to rest the 'overused knee.'
Galang has battled injuries since the tailend of her career with the Lady Spikers.
The former La Salle captain suffered ACL and MCL tears as well as a bone bruise on her left knee during the stepladder semifinals of UAAP Season 77 back in 2015.
Although she was able to return the following year and won a UAAP championship, Galang opted to rest the troublesome knee after playing in the PSL All-Filipino Conference from June to July.
Still, Galang stressed there’s no reason for her to dwell on what she cannot control.
Meanwhile, F2 Logistics will face Petron at University of St. La Salle on Saturday.
