IT was just another day at the office on Thursday for former teammates Aiza Maizo-Pontillas and Venus Bernal who faced off in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.

Petron proved too much for Cignal, 25-18, 25-20, 25-17, with Maizo-Pontillas coming up with 11 points against a side led by her comebacking former University of Santo Tomas teammate Bernal.

It's all part of the job, Maizo said.

The two played for three seasons in the UAAP and won a title for the Tigresses in Season 69.

Although Bernal took a long leave from competitive volleyball to focus on her day job at Maynilad, limiting herself to inter-company games, Maizo could not ignore how good her senior still is.
