Major Baron put on a show with 22 points for the Cargo Movers.
The La Salle stalwart scattered her offense from 12 attacks, three blocks and seven of the team’s 11 service aces in a match that took an hour and 37 minutes.
Kim Dy, the latest inclusion in the national team, added 12 points for F2 Logistics while Aby Marano and Desiree Cheng had seven markers apiece.
Still, F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus rued his team’s lack of killer instinct.
“‘Yun nga ang sabi ko sa kanila na hindi na tayo natuto noong mga previous games natin,” said the veteran mentor. “Na kapag nakakuha ng first two sets, nandyan ‘yung nawawalan ng respeto sa kalaban. Ayaw mag-receive, ayaw mag-block, ayaw dumepensa.”
“Sabi ko, hindi talaga tayo mananalo, yung lahat ng skills sa loob ayaw ninyong gawin,” he added. “Hindi pwedeng mag-aantay lang tayo ng errors ng kalaban, hindi ganoon kadali ‘yun sabi ko. Bigyan niyo ng respeto ang kalaban sa fourth set.”
The Cargo Movers, who started the conference with back-to-back losses, romped to their fourth consecutive win to lead Pool D.
F2 Logistics will face the No. 4 team in Pool C in the crossover quarterfinals.
Fil-American Mar-Jana Phillips, Jannine Navarro and Rialen Sante each had eight points for Sta. Lucia.
The Lady Realtors dropped to 2-4.
