ABY Maraño was relieved to officially join a team, a day before the Philippine Super Liga Invitational Conference.
Maraño signed with league newcomer F2 Logistics on Wednesday afternoon at the Viva Sports office in Pasig City, ending weeks of drama after she parted ways with the powerhouse Petron team.
During the past week, the former La Salle team captain was very vocal on her social media accounts as she looked for a team to play for, saying all she wanted was to play volleyball.
"Relieved ako kasi finally may team na ako, imagine bukas na 'yung liga," said Maraño in a press conference. "Simula talaga noong pagkatapos ng PSL (Grand Prix last year), wala na akong team."
F2 Logistics will face fellow newcomer New San Jose Builders at 6:00 p.m. at The Arena in San Juan.
Maraño attended the team's practice for the first time on Tuesday night. F2 Logistics coach Mayie Prochina admitted chemistry is an issue since the team only had a complete attendance pn practice, two days before the tournament.
Maraño will now be teaming up with her fellow La Salle alum Cha Cruz, former Adamson ace Pau Soriano, College of St. Benilde middle blocker Ranya Musa, Cebuano native Danika Gendrauli and veteran setter Chie Saet.
"Excited na talaga akong maglaro, tomorrow makakasama ko 'yung mga friends ko rin," she said.
