    SPAS spikers reach Final Four the hard way

    ST. Peter de Apostle School had to go through the wringer before pulling off a 25-21, 17-25, 28-26 victory over St. Paul Makati to earn a semifinal seat in the 17-and-Under Developmental Division of the Best Center-organized, Milo-sponsored Women's Volleyball League recently at the Xavier School gym.

    SPAS will face St. Anthony School, which also won, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17 over La Salle College-Antipolo.

    Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan, which upset San Beda-Alabang, 25-20, 25-23, will also gun for one of two finals seats against St. Scholastica's College, which disposed of Colegio de Sta. Rosa-Makati, 25-22, 25-20.

    The 13-and-Under Competitive Division, meanwhile, saw Colegio San Agustin beat Saint Pedro Poveda, 25-10, 25-12, for the right to face St. Scholastica's College in the semifinals.

    Dr. Rafael Palma Elementary School earned a trip to the semis against San Beda-Alabang by pulling the rug from under St. Scho, 25-27, 25-27, 25-15.

    St. Joseph School of Fairview defeated St. Scho, 25-13, 25-16 and will face Jubilee Christian Academy, a 25-18, 25-8 winner over San Beda-Alabang, for a semis seat in the 13-and-Under Developmental Division.

    The other pairing pits Colegio San Agustin-Makati, a 25-13, 25-8 winner over Holy Family School, against St. Paul-Makati, which beat School of St. Anthony, 25-0, 25-0.
