SAN Sebastian secured a Final Four seat in the 89th NCAA women’s beach volleyball tournament Friday after routing College of St. Benilde for its eighth straight win at White Beach Puerto Galera.

Czarina Berbano and Gretchel Soltones hardly showed signs of fatigue after playing a total of four games the entire day, including their 21-11, 21-11 win over the Lady Blazers.

“Ang eagerness namin na manalo at 'yung communication ang nag-work para sa amin,” said Berbano.

Early in the day, the Recto-based volleybelles dispatched a total of three opponents one after the other – beating Mapua, 21-9, 21-10, Lyceum 21-11, 21-16, and then San Beda, 21-7, 21-10.

The winning romp had San Sebastian keeping the top spot with a perfect 8-0 slate.

Meanwhile, defending champion University of Perpetual Help also joined San Sebastian in the semis after downing Arellano University, 18-21, 21-19, 15-11.

The Lady Altas are at close second with a 7-1 card, while the Lady Chiefs comes after at third (6-2).
