SAN Sebastian College and Arellano University aim to book the last Finals ticket as they go up against each other on Thursday in the 88th NCAA women's volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
The SSC spikers and Lady Chiefs, both with 1-1 win-loss cards in the single-round semifinals, are looking to set up a title showdown with Perpetual Help.
Without injured veteran setter Jennelyn “Bamcie” Belen, San Sebastian coach Clint Malazo will depend on alternate playmaker Trisha Crisostomo and super rookie Gretchel Soltones in their 4 p.m. faceoff with the Lady Chiefs, the lowest-seeded team among the four semifinalists.
Meanwhile, the Lady Altas won't take Emilio Aguinaldo College easily as they collide in the 6p.m. matchup despite being assured of the first Finals berth after winning their first two games of the Final Four.
Reigning MVP Sandra delos Santos, veteran Honey Royse Tubino and April Anne Sartin will provide the needed firepower for the Lady Altas.
