CESCA Racraquin says San Beda feels no pressure as the Lady Red Spikers enter the finals of the NCAA Season 93 women’s volleyball tournament.
The Lady Red Spikers swept University of Perpetual Help, 25-21, 25-15, 25-23, in the Final Four on Friday at The Arena in San Juan to advance to the title series for the first time since San Beda started its women’s volleyball program in 2007.
They take on titleholder Arellano, but the San Beda skipper says there is no pressure on them as underdogs.
“I think kasi sa amin no pressure naman kasi ano pa lang naman kami, kami ang challenger,” said Racraquin.
“So kailangan laruin lang namin (ang laro namin), relax lang kami and then sila nasa kanila ang pressure kasi sila gusto nila mag-back-to-back,” she added.
Racraquin said she had pictured herself celebrating booking their finals stint.
“Ecstatic, ecstatic talaga,” she said.
“Kagabi pa lang iniisip ko na anong magigig reaction ko kapag nanalo kami parang kagabi pa lang, actually buong araw kahapon, mina-mindset ko talaga ang game today.”
“Sobrang hindi ko ma-explain, euphoric ang feeling sobrang ah di ako makapaniwala, naiyak nga ako kanina,” she added.
The opener of the best-of-three finals will be played on Friday next week.
