THE next generation of Philippine volleyball talent takes center stage as the Rebisco Volleyball League (RVL) 18-and-Under Division I National Finals runs from September 14 to 18 at Gameville Central Park in Mandaluyong.
A total of 16 teams from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will battle for the national crown, led by defending champion National University-Nazareth School, bannered by Alas Pilipinas Girls ace Xyz Rayco.

NUNS headlines a loaded Luzon field that also includes De La Salle Zobel, Holy Rosary College, University of Santo Tomas, University of Batangas, Naga College Foundation, De La Salle Lipa, California Academy, King’s Montessori School, FEU Diliman and University of Perpetual Help System Dalta.
Visayas will be represented by 2023-24 champion Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Alas Girls captain Caera Celis-led St. John’s Institute and University of San Jose-Recoletos, while Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and Sto. Niño National High School carry the banner for Mindanao.
NUNS has won the RVL three times, while Bacolod Tay Tung has two titles and King’s Montessori has one.

But with another deep field assembled this year, the tournament could produce a first-time champion.
“This league is about more than competition,” said Rebisco Operations and Administration OIC Ysay Marasigan.
“It is an opportunity for our student-athletes to grow and learn important values such as discipline, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.”
The RVL, which was established in 2009, continues to serve as a grassroots platform for developing young volleyball players and preparing them for the sport’s higher levels.
“The participating RVL players are the future and hope of our sport,” Marasigan added.
