REXONA Sesc-Rio and Pomi Casalmaggiore have already arrived in the Philippines for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship set October 18 to 23 at the MOA Arena.
Brazil national team players and Rio de Janeiro Olympians Gabi Guimaraes and Juciely Silva, and two-time Olympic gold medallist libero Fabi Oliveira banner the team along with Anne Buijs, who helped the Netherlands to fourth place in the Rio Games.
Coach Bernardo Rezende, who steered the Brazil men's national team to a gold medal finish in the 2016 Olympics, will call the shots for the Rexona Sesc-Rio.
Meanwhile, Pomi Casalmaggiore will be bannered by 2016 Olympians Carli Lloyd of the US and Jovana Stevanovic of Serbia.
Stevanovic bagged a silver medal, Lloyd pocketed bronze, while adding firepower to Pomi Casalmaggiore is former Italian national player Lucia Bosetti.
"I'm very excited to be here, I've been looking forward for this," said Guimaraes. "Aside from volleyball as I said before I'm really excited about the beaches here."
"It'll be a tough competition, the best volleyball players will be competing so it'll be great," she added.
