REBISCO-PSL Manila finished eighth in the 2017 AVC Asian Women’s Club Championship after a , 13-25, 18-25, 15-25, loss to Vietin Bank of Vietnam on Wednesday at Boris Alexandrov Sports Palace in UST-Kamenogorsk in Kazakhstan.
Jaja Santiago made 10 points for Rebisco-PSL Manila, while Aby Marano and team captain Rachel Anne Daquis contributed seven markers each.
Foton represented the country last year and placed seventh in a 12-team field.
Shakey’s also placed eighth in an eight-team AVC meet in 2011.
PLDT Home TVolution was eighth in a 10-team field in 2014, while Petron Blaze wound up eight in a nine-team tournament in 2015.
Thi Kim Hue Pham led the Vietnamese side with 16 points, while Thi Juan Down added 12 and Thann Huy Le chipped in nine. Skipper Thi Juan Nguyen and Mint Tam Hoang also had eight markers apiece.
