IT is uncertain whether there will be a third day of tryout for the national women’s volleyball team, but coach Ramil de Jesus said he was pleased with the turnout in the first two sessions.
The coaching staff is expected to meet with officials of the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Inc. (LVPI) to discuss the next step.
“Titingnan natin kung magkakaroon pa (ng tryout) kasi baka mag-meeting muna kami ng coaches and siguro kung sino man sa LVPI,” said De Jesus.
Petron star Mika Reyes and University of the Philippines top hitter Tots Carlos led the 11 new faces who made an appearance at the Arellano gym in Legarda, Manila on Wednesday.
Pocari Sweat’s Ellaine Kasilag and Myla Pablo were at the venue after missing the first day of tryouts, but together with Reyes and Petro teammates Ces Molina and Rhea Dimaculangan, they left even before the tryout started to rejoin their clubs in practice.
Generika-Ayala libero Bang Pineda and Cocolife’s Denden Lazaro, who were not formally invited to the tryout , were also at the venue.
