QATAR’s Al-Rayyan made quick work of Hong Kong's Green Dragon, 25-17, 25-11, 25-22, on Saturday to sweep Group C in the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship at Cuneta Astrodome.
The Qatar squad had earlier booked its quarterfinal berth with a 61-minute, 25-19, 25-23, 25-14, victory over the Oman side Friday night.
Qatar brings a 4-0 win-loss record to the quarterfinals, while Kondensat-Zhaikmunay of Kazakhstan also moved on to the last eight with a 3-1 mark.
The Kazakhstan side trounced Sohar of Oman, 25-13, 25-16, 25-18.
Joining Qatar and Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals are Iraq's South Gas Club Sports and Philippines PLDT TVolution from Pool A, Matin Varamin of Iran and Zahraa Al Minaa of Lebanon from Pool B, while China’s Baic Motor and Chinese Taipei of Pool D complete the cast.
