ZUS Coffee will own the Premier Volleyball League’s (PVL) first-ever draft pick after winning the lottery ahead of the 2024 PVL Rookie Draft.
Formerly known as Strong Group Athletics, the newly-rebranded side earns an all-important chance to boost its young core with fresh star power ahead of its second PVL campaign next month — and first with its new head coach Jerry Yee.
With the highest odds to secure the top pick at 40 percent, the bottom-ranked team of the recently-concluded PVL All-Filipino Conference that subsequently landed what could be a franchise-pivoting selection, likely La Salle's Thea Gagate.

Primed to boost the Thunderbelles alongside the eventual No. 1 pick are College of St. Benilde hotshots Mich Gamit, Gayle Pascual, Jade Gentapa and reigning NCAA MVP Cloanne Mondoñedo.
Capital1, ahead of its second PVL conference, landed the No. 2 pick after a one-win debut campaign.
Meanwhile, Galeries Tower scored the third pick as Farm Fresh rounded out the top four.
The rest of the draft order, to be determined by how the teams finished in the last PVL conference, will be as follows: Nxled (5th), Akari (6th), Cignal (7th), PLDT (8th), Chery Tiggo (9th), Petro Gazz (10th), Choco Mucho (11th), and defending champion Creamline (12th).
PVL Draft Combine next
The two-day PVL Rookie Draft Combine for the 47 qualified draft applicants and league free agents follows on Tuesday and Wednesday — the last pre-draft activity before the draft proper on July 8 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City in Quezon City.
