CHOCO Mucho skipper Bea de Leon said the team is responding well to the system of new head coach Dante Alinsunurin.
"We do have a new system and so far, I think we're adjusting really well naman. He's a very quiet man but he teaches very well. So hopefully little by little, in time for the season makuha namin," De Leon said during the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference press briefing on Saturday.

Alinsunurin took over the coaching reins in December 2022 after Oliver Almadro resigned from his post in November in the middle of the PVL Reinforced Conference. Almadro, who is now the head tactician of Petro Gazz, was the Flying Titans' head coach since its PVL debut in 2019.

Despite just training for over a month, De Leon is positive the team will finally clinch a medal in the All-Filipino Conference after falling short in the previous tournaments. The Flying Titans placed fourth in the 2021 and 2022 Open Conference.
"For this conference, we're looking at a podium finish. With our new coach, we're confident naman na kakayanin namin na makarating," she said.
Alinsunirin is tempering expectations, rating the Flying Titans six to seven on a scale of ten.
"Ngayon naman, nag-aadjust muna kami sa system ko. Sabi ko nga, bago mag-start yung conference, mag catch up muna kami with players and coach at kung papalarin na mabigyan kami ng chance [sa final four], kailangan i-grab namin," he said.
Choco Mucho plays against Dindin Santiago-Manabat-led Akari in the tournament opener at 4 p.m. on Feb. 4 at the Araneta Coliseum.
