CREAMLINE fans were left scratching their heads upon seeing its new ace signings Bea De Leon and Denden Lazaro-Revilla in the Big Dome crowd on Sunday rather than on the bench with the rest of the Cool Smashers.
The defending champions picked up their 16th straight win dating back to the last conference by escaping a four-set Farm Fresh scare. But now with their sights set on Akari, Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses guaranteed that the ex-Choco Mucho pair will see action come Thursday.

"Gusto na namin maglaro sila [Bea at Denden] kaso yung protocol sa health, medyo kapos pa. Expect sa Thursday, maglalaro sila. Ina-announce ko na. Thursday, maglalaro 'yung dalawang bago," said Meneses.

"Galing pa sila sa therapy, so hindi pa masyado maka-ensayo nang maganda. We have three days to prepare until Thursday. Nauna na ako mag-announce, maglalaro sila sa Thursday," he added.
Creamline's clean slate
Winning streaks and championships aside, Meneses made it clear after a gutsy first test to the new season that the Cool Smashers' focus isn't directed at past victories but on the pursuit of securing more wins moving forward.
"Dito 0-0 na. 0-0 ang labanan, so talagang one point at a time talaga kami ngayon. Hindi kami 14-0, 15-0 [win-loss record]. 1-0 ngayon. Kanina 0-0 pa. Doon kami naka-focus."
Meneses added: "Kailangan naming mapagod para ma-defend yung title this conference. Di naman easy wins yung mangyayari kasi talagang nagpalakas yung mga ibang teams.
