CREAMLINE did not just sweep Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday. It nearly erased the Vietnamese side from the third set altogether.
The Cool Smashers' 25-6 romp in the final frame of their 25-18, 25-16, 25-6 victory in the 2026 PVL Invitational on Tuesday now ranks joint-fifth among the most lopsided sets in league history, with Creamline responsible for four of the league's five shortest sets.

It was domination from the opening serve in that third set as Creamline ripped off 10 straight points before Ho Chi Minh finally got on the board, then stretched the gap to 18-1 before the Vietnamese side found its second point.
The third set became a demonstration of sustained pressure rather than a mere blowout, with the Cool Smashers refusing to let up despite the enormous cushion.
For a seasoned veteran like Jaja Santiago-Minowa, that composure was precisely what Creamline emphasized once the lead ballooned.
“Alam namin na lamang kami pero we don't need to be complacent na lamang kami kasi anytime, babawi’t lalaban pa rin naman ‘yung Vietnam," she said.
"We are just reminding everyone na okay, stay focused tayo. We have to work hard still, every step, every ball na dumadating sa atin."
That approach helped Creamline maintain its rhythm all the way to the finish, with the contest lasting just one hour and 18 minutes. The Cool Smashers also leaned on 11 blocks and five aces to keep Ho Chi Minh from mounting any meaningful response.
Her fellow league MVP in Jema Galanza highlighted how the margin itself was almost beside the point. What stood out was the effort being put in by everyone on the floor.
“‘Yung hustle kasi ng team, parang mahihiya ako kung hindi ko talaga gagawin din ‘yung part ko," she said.
“Hindi namin masyadong tinitignan ‘yung points kaya siguro naging maganda rin ‘yung kinalabasan.”
The 25-6 set still fell short of Creamline's own PVL record, the 25-3 demolition of BaliPure in 2021 that remains the lowest-scoring set in league history.
The Cool Smashers also held Chef's Classics to five points in a set in 2019, giving them multiple entries in the league's record books.
Tuesday's rout added another one, and with four of the five shortest sets in PVL history now belonging to Creamline, the Cool Smashers showed that even when the scoreboard gets out of hand, their standard does not have to.
