CHIE Saet has closed the chapter on a storied seven-year run with Petro Gazz, parting ways with the first and only PVL team she has played for to date.
At 41, the league’s oldest active player is set to continue her career under the Strong Group Athletics (SGA) banner, where she will be assigned to either Farm Fresh or ZUS Coffee for the 2026 PVL season.

Saet was among the Angels’ pioneers, having been part of the franchise since its inception in 2018 before her surprise release this offseason. The only remaining founding players with Petro Gazz are fellow setter Djanel Cheng and middle blocker Ranya Musa.
One of the country's longest-serving playmakers, Saet also served as team captain for much of her Angels tenure, holding the role for four years from 2019 to 2023.
Her veteran poise and playmaking acumen were central to Petro Gazz’ rise into a perennial title contender and eventual powerhouse in Philippine volleyball.

By the end of her Angels stint, the La Salle legend leaves behind a decorated legacy that includes four PVL championships, three silver finishes, and two bronze medals.
She was also part of Petro Gazz’s title run in the 2024 PNVF Champions League preseason tournament and a bronze medal finish in the 2021 edition.

Beyond domestic success, Saet helped steer the Angels to a commendable sixth-place finish at the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League, coming just over a week after the franchise captured its first-ever PVL All-Filipino crown.
Her departure makes Saet the third player to exit the club ahead of the 2026 PVL Season, following Joy Dacoron and Marian Buitre.
She also becomes the sixth player to join the SGA stable this offseason, alongside Cess Robles, Karen Verdeflor, Ren Peñafiel, Royse Tubino, and Bia General.
As she embarks on a new chapter late in her career, Saet brings with her a wealth of experience and leadership that could prove invaluable to SGA’s young squads.
