PLDT Home Telpad and Meralco begin their best-of-three series for third place, while Far Eastern University and Rizal Technological University tangle in the men’s side on Tuesday at The Arena in San Juan.

The Turbo Boosters and the Power Attackers clash at 4 p.m., after the Tamaraws and Blue Thunder face off at 2 p.m.

PLDT, which fell short of the finals race with a 2-4 card, aims for the consolation prize of a third-place finish in the four-team tournament.

Team captain Sue Roces and former San Sebastian standout Lou Ann Latigay are again expected to take charge for the all-Filipino Turbo Boosters, while best digger Lizlee Gata-Pantone and best setter Rubie de Leon are out to prove they're worthy for the award.

Meralco winless in six elimination round games, tries to bag its first win behind Thai import Wanida Kotruang and locals Paneng Mercado and best blocker Aby Marano.

Meanwhile, FEU will rely on its one-two punch of Rikko Marmeto and Joshua Barrica, who were adjudged best receiver and best server, respectively.

The Tams ended the elimination round with a 2-4 record, while the Blue Thunder had a 1-5 card.

Game Two will be on Thursday.
