FANS packed every nook and cranny at The Arena in San Juan for the decider of the V-League finals and they were treated to a thrilling match by PLDT and Army.
The match featuring some of the best volleybelles in the country — the duel featured more than half of the players bound for the Southeast Asian Games — and was expected to draw a crowd, but league officials were not able to find a bigger venue due to unavailability of the other arenas such as Araneta Coliseum and MOA Arena.

Filoil Flying V Arena officials say the capacity of the stadium is at 4,000 but league officials believe around 4,500 were at the venue.
Hundreds failed to get in and Spin.ph even encountered a fan outside the arena begging for a ticket.
Inside, some fans, out of excitement after PLDT Home Ultera’s fourth-set win, threw out some cardboard fans given out for free at the start of the match. It happened again when the Ultra Fast Hitters formally won Game Three.
The V-League finals was also a blockbuster online as ‘PLDT’, ‘Jaja Santiago’, ‘Finals MVP’, ‘Daquis’, and ‘Army’ becoming a trending topic not only in the Philippines but worldwide on Twitter.
