CAGAYAN Valley looks to complete a sweep, while Philippine Army tries to extend the title series when the Rising Suns and Lady Troopers clash anew on Sunday in the Shakey's V-League Foreign Reinforced Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Sunday.

The second match of the best-of-three series starts at 2:45 p.m.

While the Thai imports are expected to lead anew for the Rising Suns, the all-Filipino Lady Troopers will be missing their guest players Dindin Santiago and Mina Aganon, who will be playing instead for Petron in an elimination-round match in the Super Liga.

Petron coach George Pascua said Santiago and Aganon will not be available for Army even if the Blaze Spikers’ game is set at 6 p.m. at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.

“Hindi sila maglalaro doon (sa Army) kasi may laro kami dito (sa Petron) at kung ano man hindi na rin aabot,” said Pascua.

Thai imports Hyapha Amporn and Pacharee Saengmuang led the way for the Rising Suns, scoring 17 and 14 points, respectively, in a four-set win against the all-Filipino Lady Troopers in the series opener.

Conference MVP Aiza Maizo came up with 13 markers to help the Lady Rising Suns move a step closer for the crown. Cagayan Valley is also looking to extract revenge on the Lady Troopers, who defeated them in the Open Conference title series.

Now Army mainstays Ging Balse, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Nene Bautista and Tina Salak will have to step up to to make up for the absence of Santiago and Aganon.

Meanwhile, Systema Tooth and Gum Care guns for the maiden Shakey's V-League men's title in its clash against Instituto Estetico Manila at 12:45 p.m.

The Active Smashers edged the Volley Masters in five sets in the first match of the best-of-three series behind Patrick Rojas, Angelo Espiritu, Rocky Honrade and Chris Macasaet. IEM will lean on MVP Jeffrey Jimenez, Karl dela Calzada, Rudy Gatdula and Jason Canlas.
