AIR Force looks to bounce back from a huge loss, while National University hopes to get a win run going when the Jet Spikers and Lady Bulldogs collide on Wednesday in the V-league Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
The Jet Spikers played without Dell Palomata and saw their three-match win streak snapped by Laoag.
Now Air Force coach Jasper Jimenez is hoping the Jet Spikers can recover quickly.
“Kailangan talaga mag-step up kami sa next game, malakas talaga ang NU kaya kailangan lumaban kami,” he said.
“Kailangan mag-enjoy sila kasi parang nagiging still sila sa loob ng court,” he added.
The 6-foot-3 Palomata will be back after missing the match against Laoag to attend to a personal matter. She joins Judy Caballejo and Joy Cases as the Jet Spikers look to improve their 3-1 win-loss record.
Meanwhile, the Lady Bulldogs will try to sustain the momentum after a quick win over Iriga.
Jaja Santiago and Jorelle Singh have been playing fine with utility spiker turned setter Jasmin Nabor, although NU is still in the middle of the pack with an even 2-2 card.
Against Iriga, Nabor delivered 26 of the Lady Bulldogs’ 27 excellent sets, scoring 10 points including four of NU’s seven blocks.
