JOY Cases showed the way as Air Force clobbered Baguio, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18, on Saturday for its second win in as many matches in the V-League Season 13 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Saturday.
Cases scored 12 points, while Judy Ann Caballejo added eight, Davao player Neneng Tapic chipped in seven and Angel Antipuesto and May Ann Pantino each had six markers.
“Sabi ko nga sa kanila every game is a championship game so lahat sila ay nagsi-step up kaya nagko-contribute silang lahat,” said Jet Spikers coach Jasper Jimenez.
It was a quicker win for the Jet Spikers after needing to play four sets against new team Bali Pure in the opener.
Air Force had 42 attack points against 29 by Baguio and scored seven block points, six more than their rivals from the Summer Capital.
The also had eight service aces, while registering 34 digs compared to 11 of Baguio.
Yna Papa made 16 of Air Force’s 31 excellent sets, while Baguio had only a total of nine.
Mary Ann Atuban scored eight points for Baguio, winless in two matches.
