POCARI Sweat hopes to avoid complacency when it faces a slumping Baguio squad in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Saturday.
The Lady Warriors, still undefeated in three games, are gunning to stay on top as they are currently tied with Air Force (3-0) at first place.
But the streaking league newcomer say they will not make the mistake of underestimating the lowly Summer Spikers as they face off at 4:00 p.m.
“We talk to the players na, ang mindset kasi namin, one game at a time,” said Pocari Sweat coach Rommel Abella.
“And hindi namin ino-overlook kung sino ang makakalaban namin. Kahit sa tingin ng mga tao na mahina ‘yan, hindi kami pwedeng magpabaya,” he added.
Abella expects the same intensity and energy that his 'Big Three' composed skipper Michele Gumabao, Myla Pablo and Elaine Kasilag have shown in leading the team to their hot start.
Meanwhile, Baguio is looking to end a three-game losing streak behind Mary Ann Atuban and Maria Tsuchiya.
