AIR Force expects a tough challenge when it battles a talented-but-underachieving Laoag team in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Saturday.

The Jet Spikers, currently tied with Pocari Sweat on top of the standings with perfect 3-0 win-loss card, are coming off a 27-25, 25-19, 25-17 win over a resilient University of the Philippines squad. “Palagi kong sinasabi na kailangan namin i-improve, number one, ‘yung service namin, kasi kapag nag-service (error) kami sinusundan (ng isa pang service error),” he said.

“And then ‘yung receive, third ‘yung blocking, hindi ma-organize, at saka ‘yung communication at floor defense,” added Jimenez.

Veterans Judy Ann Caballejo, Joy Cases, Iari Yongco and Davao native Jocemer Tapic are expected to lead the charge for the Jet Spikers, while prized recruit Dell Palomata is still finding her ground in the tournament.

Jimenez is counting on his wards not to let their guards down against Laoag (1-2) led by Adamson pair Mylene Paat and Jessica Galanza.

“Malakas ‘yung Laoag. Hindi ka dapat magkumpyansa, kailangan talaga ng hard work,” said Jimenez.
