TOTS Carlos and Isa Molde will be playing for Motolite in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference as they remain uncertain in their last playing year for University of the Philippines next UAAP.
The Lady Maroons failed to live up from the expectations as pre-season favorites with two titles before the tournament, ending up at fifth place with 6-8 win-loss record and finishing Season 81 with four straight losses capped by a three-set defeat for Adamson on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan City.
Graduating players Ayel Estranero and Marian Buitre already played their final game, while it could also be Molde and Carlos’s last UAAP game as they stressed their uncertainty for Season 82.
For UP skipper Carlos, she still has a lot of plans in the club leagues and national team including the Lady Maroons and she admitted that she can’t take all three different commitments.
“Hindi ko rin alam, hindi pa ko sure kasi kailangan ko rin alagaan yung katawan ko kasi may mga opportunites na dumadating like (semi) pro, the national team ,” Carlos said. “Hindi ko naman kayang kunin ang lahat. May igigive up and igigive up pa rin ako.”
Molde didn’t bare the reason why she’s uncertain but her love for UP and her teammates would likely bring her back for one last ride next year.
Carlos is not also closing her door for the school that introduced her in Philippine volleyball.
“Pero we’ll see kasi hindi naman magkakasabay yung mga liga e so malay mo diba,” Carlos said. “Hindi pa ako gagraduate so pwede pa talaga akong maglaro.”
As they licked the wounds of a frustrating season 81, Carlos and Molde will try to move on and start a new chapter with Motolite together with Estranero and reigning PVL Reinforced Conference Most Valuable Player Myla Pablo.
“Big opportunity kasi yung mga makakalaro namin veterans na so marami ka talagang matututunan,” Carlos said. “It’s a good thing I’m with Isa and Ayel kasi hindi ako mag-isa sa bagong team so sama-sama kami magaadjust.”
“With ate Myla sa team yung leadership niya siguro makukuha namin yun,” added Molde.
