NOTHING to worry about, Creamline fans.
Tots Carlos’ absence from the Cool Smashers’ four-set romp over Choco Mucho in the PVL All-Filipino Conference wasn’t prompted by any health concern.
It was simply a load management measure for the Creamline star as the PVL runs its longest conference yet with roughly five more months of action to come.

“Mahaba naman kasi yung conference, so siyempre ‘yung safety ng players talaga 'yung inuuna namin. Mas maganda kung sa dulo mas malakas kami,” said Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses.
“Totally healthy naman talaga si Tots. Pinahinga lang talaga.”
The three-time PVL MVP scored four points in her first game back from a two-conference layoff as Creamline thumped Akari in straight sets in Candon City, Ilocos Sur last week.
In anticipation of tougher stretches that could emerge later in the conference, Meneses said the Cool Smashers have decided to rotate its players, specially those coming off long injury layoffs.
“Maraming mangyayaring ganyan [na pagpapahinga ng players] kasi marami kaming [players sa] roster. Tinitignan lang namin kung sino ‘yung pwedeng maglaro ngayon, sino yung maglalaro next game,” Meneses said.

Rest assured, however, Carlos’ presence will be felt as Creamline carries out its bid for a fifth consecutive PVL championship.
“I think sa ibang mga games, nandyan naman si Tots."
