TIN Tiamzon did not stay in the market for long.
Just weeks after Cignal’s leave of absence shook up the PVL landscape, the veteran outside hitter found a new home with Akari on Sunday.

The 29-year-old becomes the sixth former Super Spiker to complete a transfer following the franchise’s exit from the league.
Former PVL MVPs Erika Santos and Vanie Gandler earlier joined Capital1, Erin Pangilinan moved to Creamline, while Gel Cayuna and Jackie Acuña landed at Nxled.

For Tiamzon, the move comes just over a year since she made her return to the PVL with Cignal after temporarily stepping away from Philippine volleyball for two years to stay with her family in Canada.

Now, another chapter begins almost immediately as Akari welcomed the veteran winger through a brief but fitting introduction.
“A steady presence and reliable force on the court, Tin is ready to bolster the Chargers for the battles ahead,” the team said in its announcement on Sunday.
Tiamzon gives Akari another experienced presence as the Chargers continue reinforcing their roster amid the rapidly shifting PVL offseason.
She will also be joining one of the league’s deepest wing rotations at Akari, which already features Ivy Lacsina, Grethcel Soltones, Chenie Tagaod, Faith Nisperos and Joan Doguna.
And after waiting two years to make her comeback, Tiamzon suddenly finds herself back in the middle of another fresh start.
