ERICA Staunton’s Creamline comeback took place a few months earlier than initially scheduled.
The American spiker shared with SPIN.ph how the Cool Smashers were already in talks with her as soon as her first PVL stint ended in the Grand Slam-clinching 2024 Invitational Conference.
“The decision was definitely very easy,” Staunton bared.
“We have been kind of talking about me possibly coming back for the next Reinforced Conference before I even left the Philippines last time."

“Overall, I just loved my experience with these girls, with the staff. I was really excited to come back and it’s been kind of in the works since before I even left the first time.”
Briefly after that Grand Slam run, Staunton had quick tours of duty in the Finland Volleyball League and the Indonesian Proliga.
Those stopovers have been vital learning experiences for Staunton in only her first full year playing pro ball overseas.

Wherever the game may take her, Staunton’s heart will always go back to Creamline.
“Honestly, the best thing about this team is just their consistency and their ability under pressure. That’s something I was really lucky to learn from my first pro contract playing with this team,” Staunton said.
“Just being able to watch them and see how they handle the pressure with such confidence has really inspired me.”
