PLAYER trades will soon be introduced in the PVL.
While the final implementing rules are still being ironed out, there are already a few non-negotiable terms expected for player swaps among the 12 teams.
For instance, only one player can be traded for another once the league opens its very first trade window at a yet-to-be determined date.

The league’s tentative plan is to open multiple two-week transfer windows during the course of a single season.
Also, three-way trades, direct sister team transfers and rookie trades — including a rookie’s draft rights — will all be prohibited.
“One of the things that we will not allow is for a player to be traded twice in one trading window. We won't allow that also. You can only be traded once," said PVL commissioner Sherwin Malonzo.

“So kay Team A, kay Team B lang nila pwede i-trade yung [isang] player. That's it. Pagka-trade kay Team B, yung nakuha niyang player, iti-trade niya kay Team C, hindi pwede.”
All traded players must stay with their new teams for at least one full season before being eligible for trading again.
‘Conduits,’ or using one team to pass a player onto another team, will also be barred from the PVL trading bloc.
“Ang conduits, by definition, ay parang si sister team, iti-trade muna [si player] sa ibang team tapos, iti-trade sa iba pang team,” Malonzo said.
“Bawal yun. Hindi natin siya i-aallow.”
Malonzo bared during the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum that the 12 PVL teams have already been notified of the league’s plans to institutionalize player trades.
No definite timetable has been set on when the final rules will be drafted and when the first transfer window will open.
