SISI Rondina understands firsthand that achieving victory in games is contingent upon building a solid foundation of trust.
With Premier Volleyball League (PVL) co-leaders Choco Mucho holding sway with a 6-1 (win-loss) card, the reigning MVP stressed that their impressive performance can be attributed not only to the team’s growing confidence but also to their willingness to support each other both on and off the court.

This, for an ace spiker like Rondina, best applies to her Flying Titans playmakers in team newcomer Mars Alba and mainstay Deanna Wong.
And as the latter has taken the back seat for most of the ongoing All-Filipino Conference with persisting knee problems, Rondina made it a point to be on the same page not only with Alba as the starting setter but also with Wong and the rest of her squad.
"May tiwala naman ako sa mga setters namin and sa mga teammates ko. Basta inaaral ko rin talaga ‘yung mga sets nila (Mars Alba and Deanna Wong), kung paano nila ibato ['yung bola], kung paano nila i-set sa akin," said Rondina.
Sisi's game plan? Adapt and conquer
From a strategic standpoint, Rondina has been shifting her focus in training to making the most of 'out-of-system' sequences in which spikers and setters are forced to improvise an attack on the spot following a poor or awkward reception or 'first ball.'
"Siyempre mas inaral ko ‘yung out of system talaga na, I mean mas prinactice ko talaga nang maayos ‘yung out of system palagi sa training. Hindi naman kasi talaga perfect ‘yung mga receive and lahat nagkakamali kaya doon ako nag focus.
"Kung sino man ‘yung ilagay ni Coach (Dante Alinsunurin) diyan, ang sasabihin ko lang sa kanya: 'Tiwala ako sayo, pagkatiwalaan mo ako.'"
