SISI Rondina called on her fans to ‘unfollow and report’ a Facebook page for spreading false information about her and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

A Facebook page named ‘Choco Mucho Hoops,’ claiming to be a news and media platform, reported on Sunday that Rondina’s supposed positive doping test puts her PVL team at risk of disqualification from the league.

The embedded website link in the said post directs users to news site CelebToday24.com, which bears additional details on Rondina and the Flying Titans.

The story author, who used a pseudonym ‘minhvu,’ claimed how vaguely-described investigations on the Alas Pilipinas star emerged as part of a ‘smear campaign’ launched by rival national teams that lost to the Philippines in recent competitions.

Since Alas Pilipinas’ inception in May, the only teams they’ve defeated in international play are Indonesia twice, Australia twice, India, Iran and Chinese Taipei.

“Sources close to the situation suggest that these teams, unable to cope with their defeats, have resorted to spreading false rumors to tarnish the reputation of Rondina and the Choco Mucho team,” part of the story wrote.

The story ended by citing how a certain Philippine Volleyball Federation and Choco Mucho denied such allegations despite the sport’s local governing body being the PNVF and not PVF, and how the latter did not issue any statement on the fabricated subject.

As Rondina had to skip the ongoing Reinforced Conference in light of national team duties, Choco Mucho failed to reach the playoffs after back-to-back finals appearances and suffered the team’s worst finish in its four-year run at ninth place.
