BIGGER changes are bound Farm Fresh’s way.
The Foxies have parted ways with Japanese head coach Shota Sato after just two conferences in charge.
Sato confirmed his exit to SPIN.ph on Thursday, saying “I will not be a head coach in the next conference.”

In his first conference at the helm in import-laden play, Sato steered the Foxies to the No. 8 seed with a 3-5 card in prelims play.
They fell short of a breakthrough semifinals appearance after a four-set loss to Akari in the knockout quarterfinals.
Farm Fresh’s 2024 PVL season had a surprise extension upon being tapped as last-minute entrants to the Invitational Conference’s five-team field.
Such a brief stint ended without a single win for the Foxies to finish in fifth place.
Taking Sato’s spot for the Foxies as interim head coach ahead of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference is Benson Bocboc.
Bocboc is no stranger to the PVL as a former deputy and head coach of now-defunct F2 Logistics, and was recently appointed as coach of the University of the Philippines in UAAP women’s volleyball — a school also part of the Frank Lao-led Strong Group Athletics stable.
With veteran stars Rachel Anne Daquis and Jheck Dionela onboard, Farm Fresh looks to make waves in the season-opening All-Filipino Conference on Nov. 9.
