SHERWIN Meneses categorically denied rumors of his alleged departure as Creamline head coach.
Talks have swirled all over social media since the conclusion of the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League regarding Meneses’ future with the Cool Smashers.

With Creamline’s PVL Finals loss to Petro Gazz followed by an eighth-place AVC finish, SPIN.ph first caught wind of a supposed coaching change that would promote an unlikely successor in captain Alyssa Valdez as playing head coach.
Meneses made it clear that none of it whatsoever is true.
“Hindi naman siya totoo. Tsismis lang ‘yun,” Meneses told SPIN.ph.
“Hindi ko alam kung ano ‘yung statement ng Rebisco du’n sa issue na ‘yun, pero issue lang ‘yun eh. Management naman masusunod diyan.”

At least for now, status quo stands for Philippine volleyball’s winningest club.
As the Cool Smashers shot-caller put it, “As of now, wala namang ganung issue din sa team.”
Back to work for Creamline
In fact, the only thing Creamline has in mind is to rest and recover from a grueling six-month stretch from the PVL to the AVC.
“Normal lang lahat. Bakasyon lang. ‘Yun lang iniisip namin na makapag-bakasyon,” said Meneses.
That long-awaited break won’t be coming anytime soon as National U barged into the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball finals for the fourth straight year.

After two failed title pursuits with the Cool Smashers in the past month, next up for the seven-time PVL champion coach is to defend the Lady Bulldogs’ UAAP title against either La Salle or University of Santo Tomas.
