JEMA Galanza hasn’t been in her usual form since the end of the preliminaries for Creamline and even missed the team’s 25-18, 25-19, 25-19 semifinals win over Akari.
From their qualifying-round win over Nxled to the semis, the reigning All-Filipino Conference finals MVP has normed just 3.75 points in four games.
What made the past few games tougher for Galanza is how she had to play through a sprained right thumb she suffered in Game One of their best-of-three quarterfinals series with Chery Tiggo.

Even as one of Creamline’s top stars finds herself in a rare slump, the 10-time champions still have the luxury of arguably the league’s deepest roster with ace spikers-slash-MVPs like Alyssa Valdez, Bernadeth Pons, Tots Carlos and Michele Gumabao.
Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses did guarantee that Galanza is already back in top shape since the Game One quarterfinals incident.
It’s just that he didn’t see the need to field Galanza with the Cool Smashers’ abundance of wingers in tip-top shape.
