THE 2026 PVL Invitational preliminary round comes down to one final day, with EST Cola, Creamline, Nxled, and PLDT still in contention for the two finals berths.

The Thai guest club and Cool Smashers enter Sunday at 3-1 with eight points apiece, while the Chameleons are at 2-2 with seven points and the High Speed Hitters also stand at 2-2 with six points, setting up a frantic finish where the standings could still be decided by match points, set ratio and, potentially, point ratio.

Here's how Sunday's possible results could either send teams straight to the finals, to possible tiebreaks, or down to the classification games.
CREAMLINE: Beat PLDT and clinch
Creamline has a straightforward route to a record-extending 16th finals appearance: beat PLDT and clinch, regardless of whether the victory comes in three, four, or five sets.
A win puts the Cool Smashers at 4-1, a record neither Nxled nor PLDT can match.
But a loss sends them into a far more complicated race.
A 3-0 or 3-1 loss drops Creamline to 3-2 with eight match points, while the High Speed Hitters move to 3-2 with nine, while also automatically ranking ahead on match points. The Chameleons can then also move ahead with any win over Farm Fresh, meaning Creamline would need them to lose to keep its finals hopes alive.
EST Cola's result against Ho Chi Minh would then determine whether the Cool Smashers still have enough to hold one of the top two spots.
A 2-3 loss, however, gives Creamline a ninth point, keeping it ahead of PLDT, which would finish on eight. Nxled can still leapfrog the Cool Smashers outright with a 3-0 or 3-1 win for 10 points, as a five-set victory puts the Chameleons at the same 3-2 record and nine-point total.
If their set ratios also match, the race would go to point ratio.
The guest team from Thailand could likewise enter that same nine-point cluster with a five-set loss to the Vietnamese side, making Creamline's fate potentially dependent on the finest margins.
EST COLA: Beat Ho Chi Minh and clinch
Like Creamline, EST Cola carries the same direct formula: beat Ho Chi Minh and clinch.
Any victory gives the Thai club a 4-1 record, automatically securing a place in the finals since neither Nxled nor PLDT can get to four wins.
But EST has no room to lose and remain comfortably safe.
A 0-3 or 1-3 loss leaves the Thai side at 3-2 with eight points. Nxled would move ahead with any victory over Farm Fresh, while PLDT can overtake EST with a 3-0 or 3-1 win over Creamline for nine points. That leaves EST needing at least one of those challengers to fall short.
If the standings produce teams tied on wins and match points, the next separator becomes set ratio, followed by point ratio.
A 2-3 loss gives EST a more valuable cushion at nine points. Nxled would need a 3-0 or 3-1 win to move ahead outright with 10 points, while a five-set Chameleons victory would put both teams at 3-2 with nine points.
From there, their set ratios come into play. If those are also identical, as the possible 12-9 set records would suggest, point ratio could decide which team advances. Creamline could also join that nine-point group with a 2-3 loss to PLDT.
For EST, then, the distinction between taking Ho Chi Minh to five sets and losing in three or four could be the difference between staying alive in the tiebreak and watching the finals race slip away.
NXLED: Win, then get one loss from Creamline or EST
Nxled's first assignment is non-negotiable: beat Farm Fresh.
A 3-0 or 3-1 victory puts the Chameleons at 3-2 with 10 points, and either a Creamline loss or an EST Cola loss would then be enough to send Nxled through. The losing leader would fall to 3-2, allowing Nxled's superior match-point total to move ahead in the standings.
If both Creamline and EST win, however, both finish 4-1 and automatically take the two Finals berths on win-loss record.
A 3-2 Nxled win makes things far more complicated. The Chameleons would finish 3-2 with nine points and would need at least one of Creamline or EST to lose.
A straight-set or four-set loss by either leader would leave that team on eight points, putting Nxled ahead on match points. But a five-set loss would give the losing team nine points as well.
That could produce a tie not only on wins and match points but, depending on the set records, on set ratio too, pushing the race to point ratio. EST, Creamline and Nxled could all potentially find themselves caught in that nine-point maze.
Any Nxled loss, meanwhile, ends its finals hopes immediately. The Chameleons would remain at two wins and can no longer reach the top two.
PLDT: Beat Creamline in 3 or 4 sets, then get help
PLDT faces the narrowest road, needing both a victory and help from elsewhere.
The defending champions must beat Creamline in three or four sets to give themselves the strongest chance, finishing at 3-2 with nine points.
An Nxled loss to Farm Fresh gives PLDT a direct route into the finals, since the Chameleons would remain at two wins.
PLDT can also benefit from an EST Cola loss in three or four sets, which leaves the Thai club at eight points and behind the High Speed Hitters on match points.
But PLDT cannot afford to take Creamline to five sets. A 3-2 victory gives the High Speed Hitters only eight points, while Creamline finishes with that same record, earns the losing point and finishes with nine.
Creamline therefore automatically stays ahead on match points before set ratio is even considered.
PLDT's final set ratio in that scenario would also leave it vulnerable against other eight-point teams, effectively ending its title defense regardless of the other results.
As such, the High Speed Hitters' clearest formula is to beat Creamline in three or four sets, then get either an Nxled loss or an EST loss in three or four sets.
But like Nxled, a PLDT loss means game over in its bid for back-to-back Invitational titles.
For the other three contenders, Sunday is a balancing act between simply winning and making sure they win by enough.
