SAVI Davison knew that two games were enough to remind her that even the most dependable scorers can lose their touch. A third defeat, however, was something PLDT could not afford.
After opening the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series with 10 points against Nxled, Davison settled for a career-low five in another straight-set loss to Akari, leaving the High Speed Hitters searching for answers and on the brink of an 0-3 start.

Her response against Capital1 was emphatic and exactly what was expected from her.
Davison erupted for 28 points, 18 receptions and 10 digs for a triple-double that powered PLDT to a four-set win, delivering the breakthrough the High Speed Hitters needed while putting her difficult opening stretch behind her.

For the former PVL MVP, it was more than a bounce-back performance. It was a reminder that two rough outings could not erase the work that brought her here.
“Just because I had a bad day on a game day, it doesn't define me,” Davison said. “It was humbling, but I feel like we all go through those experiences where we don't show up the best that we can and it's just kind of how we respond from them.”
Davison understands the expectations that come with being one of PLDT's primary offensive weapons.
“We didn't really want to think about what it would be like to go 0-3,” she said. “We just knew that we had to start playing to our potential to make sure that we can compete amongst the best because the competition here in the Philippines is getting a lot better every conference.”
Davison also acknowledged the pressure that comes with carrying much of the team's offensive load, both from within the squad and from the outside.
“I feel like I carry the offensive side, and we do have a lot of pressure on us, internally and externally. We like to say that pressure is a privilege, right? Pressure is a privilege and pressure makes diamonds,” she said.

But finding that brilliance required Davison to look past the disappointing numbers and return to what she knew best: trusting the work she puts in every day.
“It's just going back to the basics and realizing how hard I've worked to get here. Everything that I've learned to this day doesn't just disappear. It's everything I've trained for, we train every day,” she said.
“At the same time, you just gotta calm yourself down and everyone has a bad day, but let's just kind of mark more good days than bad days, hopefully."
The first two games humbled her, she admitted. The third showed that they did not define her.
